In Coventry, our Gujarati school is an exciting, fun and rewarding place to learn the Gujarati language; additionally the Vedic culture. Our experienced teachers and support staff create the learning environment for students from all ages to gain knowledge, acquire the skills and develop the abilities to effectively use the Gujarati language, and have an understanding of the Gujarati culture and its values.
Parents with their children are welcome to visit the Gujarati plus school which runs term time every Friday from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Children may participate in lessons before making a decision to register as a student.
We take students from the age of 5 all the way up to ‘A’ level standard.
We teach GCSE, AS and A level Gujarati and this is recognised as a language qualification.
A key to our 30 year success is the effective participation and involvement of parents. To tap their contribution and cooperation the school holds regular briefing meeting, make available teaching resources and offer methods to motivate children to learn at home.
Together teachers, volunteers, parents, and management help young children begin their journey to learn their Gujarati language…
to understand better their cultural heritage. Many leave the school with formal qualifications however the true value of their learning lasts them a lifetime.
We regularly have assemblies for the children to coincide with religious days as they happen through the academic year. This is to give the children a better understanding of the day and why we celebrate that day.
All our teachers are DBS checked.
We also have a qualified first aider.
